A while back, I decided that I might enjoy meeting with others who have had strokes. What I miss most since having my stroke is the kind of social life I used to have.Sure enough, my occupational therapist knew about such a once-a-month stroke survivors meeting at the hospital.
I went to my first meeting in January. That meeting was all about what Obamacare was supposed to do to help us. Nobody else at the meeting seemed the least bit concerned about how all these freebies would be paid for. Besides, all of the supposed benefits discussed were sometime in the future.
The other night, I attended the February meeting. This time, the presentation was all about the county freebies that the disabled could get. Again, nobody else there seemed the least bit concerned how all this stuff gets paid for. And, at this particular meeting, people were bitching about needing even more freebies from the county.
The people at the meeting don't look like they're down on their luck. Just the opposite, in fact. Still, they are looking into just how many freebies they can get.
The above outlines what is wrong with America today.
I'm going to attend the next meeting, I guess. Maybe they will discuss a topic that I'm actually interested in!
