Not so unusual back in the day

Back when I was a kid, a professional photographer took a photo of me with my toy guy and holster.  Recently, my brother is working on a digital-photos family album and emailed me a digital copy of that photo.

Back in the 1950s, nobody thought that photos of kids with firearms were weird or that they promoted violence.

And I grew up in Southern California!

Times may have changed, but not as far as the Scottsdale Gun Club is concerned. A lot of people are signing up for these special photos with Santa.

Long live the Second Amendment!

Somewhere in the family pictures, there is a photo of me all dressed up as Davy Crockett. When I was little kid, Davy Crockett was my hero!

Our Dad had my older brother and I down in the basement when we were around 8 and 9, shooting single shot 22 rifle at cigarette butts from around 40 feet. We got pretty good at marksmanship, learned gun safety (a good thing for everyone and anyone) and had a blast.

Guns have almost always been around since and certainly are today.
