Still alive but in hibernation

Damn cold winter we're having here!

I managed to get out to a coin show last weekend. I made a few good buys, too! One of those good buys was a Walking Liberty Half, a coin that I particularly like.

Yesterday afternoon, Mr. AOW fired up the van and dropped me off at the local VFW. Not much of a crowd there, but still it's better to be out and about than moping around the house all day and all night.

Today I'll watch at least some of the Super Bowl. Mrs. AOW has laid in a supply of chips and salsa in case I want to stay home to watch the game.

What;s the cost of a Walking Liberty these days, Mr. AOW.

I bought a 1941S in MS-64 condition and slabbed. I paid $220 for this beauty. A very strong strike.

Walking Liberties vary a lot in cost. I'd say $100-$125 for uncs is the norm right now.

I'm nearly in hibernation mode too. I manage to go to work, then come home to grade stacks of papers and loads of laundry. I force myself to prepare at least 3 nutritious meals every week. That's about it.

I've done a little hibernation this winter. There have been some cold streaks but I got out with the camera the last couple days and dropped by the Modern for a chocolate cannoli.

Storm moving in Wednesday. Forecast is pitching everything from 3 to 15.
