Ballsey Biscuits

Down in the cul-de-sac lives an English Bull Boxer. His given name is Balls.

I call him Ballsey.

He's very friendly.

Definitely not a fighting dog!

And he never leaves his property.  He never barks either!

But he sees me coming down the street, he dances around, wags his tail, and whines until I get up close to him in his driveway.

Ballsey looks a lot like this - except that he wears an electronic collar:

He stays inside most of the time.

When the weather is nice, I ride my scooter down the street and give Ballsey as many dog biscuits that I can carry in the basket of my scooter.

Ballsey hates the cold, so he's not outside much this time of year.

I wish that we had a dog.

A dog is a great company, he neer complains is always glad to see you and always ready to comfort you when you're down.

The only negative thing i can find is the walks in Winter, being not too mobile it can be a heavy burdon......It's no prob if you have a big garden.

Still i would say go for it.

I miss my dog almost every day since he passed.

Have you had a dog? My favs are Rottweilers, Dobermans and Black Labs (or any color). Have had all three.

If you get one young and train them properly.

Personally, I stay away from pure breds and smaller dogs as they are more subject to health problems. Puppy Mills the cause maybe? don't know.

Anyway, all three of the above were our best dogs. Babies all - protectors all.

They are like kids though, and need a lot of attention. Man and Woman's best friend though.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Kid,
Mr. AOW and I haven't had a dog since we got married in 1972.

We both grew up with dogs (medium-sized or large). But this property needs fencing if we are to have a dog. There is a busy street running all along the front of the property. And I do mean BUSY! We live in the hub of the universe, and many people lose their dogs to this road.

PS: We call Cameo "our Rottweiler." The other cats hide when they hear a noise or an "intruder," but Cameo runs toward the noise or "intruder" to engage them in battle.

Cameo is getting older now. I dread the inevitable day!

Cameo is a Beauty ;-)

I'll bet he's very laid back otherwise. Like a special forces cat. :)

You and the late great bulldog, "Harry Callahan" would have gotten along fine, Mr. AOW (high compliment).

Anything that represented chow or filling the food bowl and he was all in.

Kid,
Cameo is a female.

But she stands up like a male to pee!

Is she laid back? In some ways. But she can be very feisty because she's so dominant. I took me years to get her to accept that I am her alpha.

Duck,
Cameo is "a food whore."

Mr. AOW and I don't find bulldogs attractive. However, we do like them because they have wonderful personalities.

You mentioned "Harry Callahan." Was that the name of your bulldog?

PS: "Thanks for the compliment," says Mr. AOW. He's awake for the day, but not using his iPad right now because it's on charge -- and he's resting up for a night out tonight at the local VFW.

Dagnabbit, I knew I'd get it wrong.

Better watch her AOW, surely she is plotting.
