Brrrr!

News reports are saying that we're having the coldest month of the century.

I believe it!

The snowy owl has even returned to Washington:

Four years post-stroke I'm not nearly as sensitive to cold as I was for three years.  Thank God!

Having a heating pad to keep me warm also helps.

In spite of this miserable weather, I got out to a coin show yesterday - and found a few items that I wanted.

Yesterday, we ventured out of the house to have lunch with a homeschool family. Italian food!

Mrs. AOW and I had to get out of the house.  CABIN FEVER!

Spring can't come too soon!

I haven't seen much of Ballsey during this cold weather. He's a warm weather dog!

Yup cold out there, this morning woke up to blowing snow, school closures, 10 degrees feels like minus 7......start shoveling.

Looked yesterday at the long term forecast they give much colder than usual till March ...to start.

We're in a food coma today -- thanks to a wonderful meal at this local Italian restaurant.

We may not even want to eat much today. We gorged ourselves yesterday and were warm the rest of the day.

Well cheer up, Will. When it's this cold the snow doesn't have much moisture content and it's not like your shoveling cement.

Fifty in Boston right now. Ten degrees projected tomorrow.

This is nuts.

Duck,
We have a similar situation here. Today is downright balmy in comparison to last week.

Not looking forward to going to work tomorrow with these low temps!

Well, it was 40 below with the wind on Feb 28th when I boarded a plane in Pittsburgh for Arizona for a 20 year stint. As I remember those years in the Pittsburgh area, I'm finding it hard to believe this is the coldest month in a century, at least not in Cincinnati. Projected air temp tomorrow is -10 n the AM.

All I can say is it is a lot easier to take when you have a new vehicle as opposed to a rat trap chevy caprice on its last legs and you end up having to change out a fuel pump in the outdoors in 40 below... Among many other ordeals. Doesn't seem to bad at all these days.
