Friday Night Out

Tonight, my good friend Steve will be taking me to the VFW for the evening. The club is having a pool tournament. I watch but don't play, of course. I do play the Megamaster.

When I get an evening out with the guys, I have to catch up on sleep for the next few days.

Having a big stroke really takes the wind out of your sails! But I'm glad to be alive.

And Mrs. AOW gets a break when I go out with Steve. She deserves lots of breaks.

Brooke,
Steve, is such a faithful friend!

Mr. AOW doesn't know in advance, but the VFW is throwing a little birthday party for him tonight a week in advance of Mr. AOW's birthday. I'm stuck here at home because the piano tuner is scheduled.

BTW, the iPad is a huge hit with Mr. AOW!

FJ,
A Megamaster is a game video machine. Touchscreen.

What kind of eats did you have at the VFW? Maybe some Chili?

Wishing us a Happy Birthday!

(No I'm not talking in the third person, Mr AOW and I share the same birthday.)

:^)

Hope you have fun and don't drink too much. I'll never forget your birthday because it's the same day as Warren's

FYI: Mr. AOW is slow to respond to comments. His seek-and-find typing will improve over time. That onscreen keyboard on his iPad drives me crazy. But Mr. AOW likes it.

One request. Next week take my hubby with you. I need a break, too!

Welcome to the blogosphere, Mr. AOW. AOW's friends are very thankful that you are here and recovering, able to enjoy that new iPad (I'm jealous), your lovely wife, life, and everything that goes with it.

Looking forward to reading your future posts.

Every time I think of growing older and start to complain I think of the alternative. Growing older isn't that bad after all.

I use to wake up every morning wondering what life had in store for me. Now I'm just satisfied waking up every morning because I know something good is bound to happen for me.

I just bookmarked your blog and will visit again.

Hi, Mr. AOW. I'm FreeThinke. Your Mrs. has known me for quite a while. I talk too much, but my heart's in the right place. She seems to know that -- a wise woman you got there -- as if I needed to tell you.

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, sir! I hope you have a great celebration.

Keep hangin' in there. Life's all about not quitting when the going gets rough -- easier said than done, I know.

Here's some news from net:

A bowling alley in Clearwater, Florida is doing record business despite a bad economy. The alley also reports a record number of 300 games.

Since opening in November 2010, 963 patrons have bowled a perfect game, including strikes in the warm-up frames.

This alley also has the highest bowling league average in the country, with a 237. And thats the senior league.

I wish I could show you the picture that goes with it. It's a riot.

At the end of each alley is a huge portrait of Obama with his mouth wide open.

The bowling pins are set up to represent his TEETH.

Best to you,

~ FreeThinke

Hello, FreeThinke!

Mr. AOW struggled with his iPad all afternoon while I was a work. He couldn't figure out the interface. I'm not much better at that iPad interface.

Anyway, Mr. AOW will be reading your comment as soon as his "burn out" subsides. He wore himself out today. LOL.

I so appreciate your stopping by -- and so will my husband, I'm sure.
