The Western Channel

Having a very hot summer here and shut in a lot more than usual, so I've been watching The Western Channel a lot. I grew up watching a lot of those old TV Westerns. Good stuff.

One show that I get to see Monday-Friday is "Paladin."

TV shows today have lousy theme songs. Well, except for "Two and a Half Men."

I loved Paladin! I liked Sugar Foot and Cheyenne and Wanted Dead or Alive, Maverick, Lawman, Bat Masterson, and of course, Gunsmoke. They don't make anything that good anymore!

Say have you seen Longmire. It is pretty good even if it is set in modern times.

Agreed. Richard Boone makes a good bad guy too. Have you seen Hombre starring Paul Newman. A little slow getting started but a pretty good movie. Very realistic.

The last movie I saw Richard Boone in was the Shootist with John Wayne.

I think if I had to pick one "The Shootist" would be near the top for my favorite Duke movie.

Glad to see that some other people like these old Westerns too!
