Merry Christmas!

When Mrs. AOW asked me, "What is your favorite Christmas carol?" I picked this one:

This evening, Mrs. AOW and I plan to go to her cousin's house to celebrate Christmas with food and gifts. And beer and wine, too. I hope that it doesn't snow because getting me out and about in the snow is impossible.

It's hard on Mrs. AOW to drive all that way to her cousins' house and to get me into the house in my transport chair. But once there, Mrs. AOW's cousins do most of the work.

Except when I have to visit the head! Why are bathroom doors so narrow and toilets so low to the ground? We old geezers need grab bars, too!

We'd have a merrier Christmas if we didn't have such a struggle with my disabilities.

But it's Christmas, and we do the best that we can. I don't grieve over what I don't have. Instead, I'm happy that I'm as healthy as I am.

I am in much better shape than I was in 2009. Much less of a burden! I plan to get even better by the time Christmas rolls around again.

I have many #2 favorite Christmas carols, but this is my #1, too, and I NEVER open a Christmas show I produce without it. It's a great one to bring people IN.
SO SO glad to hear you guys had such a great Christmas and that you're doing so well, Mr. AOW.
Much love to you and your marvelous girl :-)
(I just saw Warren's puppy's pix...I think a dog's perfect for you, but don't tell Always I said so!!!) xxx

Z,
Mr. AOW very much wants a dog. I'd like to get one, too, but first have to fence the yard (or a good portion thereof).

Once Mr. AOW's Medicare kicks begins on March 1, we'll be saving about $1000 in monthly health-insurance premiums. I actually have a handle on a former student who does fencing.

BTW, my favorite Christmas processional is "Of the Father's Love Begotten."
