Off To A Car Show!

Mrs. AOW here.

For the first time since Mr. AOW had that terrible brain hemorrhage in 2009, he's going to a car show with the Mustang!

Yes, the picture in this post is my Mustang GT convertible.  I bought it on my 49th birthday.  My midlife crisis, of course.

The vehicle not in great shape now. But, hey, it runs!  And it looks okay, especially with the new chrome wheels that I recently bought.  Just some scratches and dents on one side of the vehicle.  The guys will be covering those flaws with car bandaids.

Mr. AOW's friend Bob (USMC veteran, Vietnam Era) is driving Mr. AOW to the show. There's also a cookout.

Two days in a row of great fun for Mr. AOW and for Bob, who loves car shows!

It's about time that Mr. AOW had more time out with the guys.

That's great news. Should be a fun experience for everyone.

We haven't been to a car show in years.

My hubby bought (new) the very first 240-Z Datsun (Nissan) in 1971. If he had kept that car it would be worth a fortune today.

Hi AOW, Great wheels :)

I always loved the American car, nothing compares to that sound and feel on the highway.
Have a great day!

Mr. AOW had, ahem, quite a bit of beer last night. Got home around 2:00 A.M. this morning.

The new therapists (PT and OT) are so in favor of his getting out -- and, yes, of his having beer too.

Finally home! A great day!

We rode with the top down for part of the time. Too hot here today!

I hope Mr. AOW isn't still "laying rubber" in that hot rod! Glad to hear he is enjoying some beer.

We have a lot of car shows here in Hollister, CA and I do love classic cars. My son owns a 68 Camaro, which he keeps in my garage.

Great looking car and such fun that Mr AOW had some happy times with his guy friends! He deserves that, and so do they!
I got a white Mustang, a 1968 for high school graduation; I loved that care except it heated over more than it should have.,
Had breakfast today with a guy from church I didn't know well and is from FALLS CHURCH :-_

Perhaps a bit too much beer on Saturday night. Do I care? Nope.

The past two days is the BEST that Mr. AOW has felt since he had that terrible stroke.

Mr. AOW will love that video!

That genre isn't my taste, but IS Mr. AOW's.

Thanks for the link.

You've outdone yourself -- and I mean in a good way.

You've made my day! Really. No sarcasm.

Of course, these days, I'm the one at the wheel. **sigh**

Mr. AOW is exhausted after his weekend out and today out to get his new eyeglasses. But when he wakes up, I'll be sure to show this photo to him.

Thank you.

That is soooooo awesome! The spirit needs as much therapy as the body, and I suspect this should do the trick!

Well Mr. AOW, the dude was pretty quiet.

I usually don't ask if I can take a photo but these folks didn't seem like they'd object and she started talking a blue streak. Very cool.

Mr. AOW can talk a blue streak. But I can outdo him. **wink**

I have never minded people taking my picture.

Mrs. AOW was exactly right. She can outtalk me! Of course, most women can talk a blue streak!

Hi Mrs. AOW! :D Well, a car show is a great event for Mr. AOW to attend, especially that he’s with his friend Bob. So how was it? I checked your current posts and I didn’t see any details about the said car show. I would love to see pictures of Mr. AOW enjoying the event! ;) You have a fantastic car, by the way. With its great interior setting, you’ll always have a comfortable ride!

Wow! Isn’t that Mustang lovely? It has always been my dream to own a red Mustang GT convertible, but for now I’m still relaxed with my 2010 Ford Mustang. Hehe! :)
